Braised Pork Ribs with Yuba

Ingredients for Braised Pork Ribs with Yuba: Pork ribs 400g, Yuba 100g, Red pepper 1, Rock sugar 1 large piece, Star anise 1, Bay leaves 2, Ginger slices 3, Cooking wine 2 tablespoons, Light soy sauce 1 tablespoon, Green onions 1, Ground white pepper 1 teaspoon, Oil and salt to taste.
Method for Braised Pork Ribs with Yuba: Step 1: Write down the preparation steps. Step 2: Heat the pan with cool oil, add a pinch of salt, and put rock sugar to stir-fry until it completely melts and turns brown. Step 3: Add the pork ribs and stir-fry. Step 4: Continue to stir-fry the ribs until they are browned and slightly release oil, then add star anise, ginger slices, and other spices to continue stir-frying.


Step 5: Stir-fry for a few more times, then add an appropriate amount of cooking wine and continue to stir-fry, followed by a little light soy sauce. Step 6: Stir-fry evenly and transfer to a small bowl. Step 7: Add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat, covered, for fifteen minutes. Step 8: Add the soaked and softened yuba, and continue to simmer, covered, for another five minutes.


Step 9: Season with salt and ground white pepper. Step 10: Thicken the sauce over high heat, add red pepper and stir-fry evenly. Step 11: Transfer to a small bowl and sprinkle with chopped green onions on top.



Cooking Tips for Braised Pork Ribs with Yuba: 1. Soak yuba in advance, cut into small pieces after softening. 2. Soak the pork ribs for two hours in advance, changing the water halfway. 3. Stir-frying rock sugar for caramel color improves the taste and appearance of the dish. 4. Add red pepper before serving to enhance the color of the dish.
