Steamed Locust Flower with Cornmeal Recipe

Ingredients for Steamed Locust Flower with Cornmeal: Locust flowers 300g, salt 5g, five-spice powder 2g, cornmeal 120g.
Method: Step 1: Clean the locust flowers thoroughly and remove excess water. Step 2: Add salt. Step 3: Add five-spice powder and mix well. Step 4: Incorporate cornmeal. Step 5: Rub the mixture with hands until all locust flowers are evenly coated with cornmeal. Step 6: Place water in a steamer pot, line the steamer basket with damp cheesecloth, place the cornmeal-coated locust flowers, start with cold water, and after steaming, switch to medium heat for 20 minutes.


Turn off the heat and let it rest for about 2 minutes before serving. Step 7: The steamed locust flowers with cornmeal have a subtle fragrance of locust flowers. Step 8: Allow the steamed locust flowers with cornmeal to cool slightly, then transfer to a larger container and season to taste with salt, fragrant vinegar, light soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili oil.
